Four Bees named Western Conference All Stars
Mahomet, IL - The Prospect League proudly announces the 2025 Awards as voted on by the League's 18 field managers following the conclusion of the regular season. The Western Conference All-Star Team awards the best players from the nine Western Conference Teams. The Bees had 4 of the 20 members on the team.
Cole Yearsley (Winthrop) led the league in both batting average (.416) and on-base percentage (.558). The lefty outfielder had 47 hits and 30 walks in 32 games played. He also hit three home runs and totaled 10 extra-base hits.
Kaelen Clarkson (Plattsburgh State) made eight starts across the season and finished with a 2.75 ERA. The lefty has 29 strikeouts to 12 walks, surrendering 11 earned runs in 36 innings. The Canada native finished the regular season with three straight wins.
Kooper Schulte (Iowa) kicked off the year in style, hitting for the cycle on Opening Day, and stayed steady at the plate all season. He led the league with 63 hits and finished third in RBIs with 48. The Iowa shortstop was second in extra-base hits with 20, tied for first in triples with 5, and also ranked third in assists with 119.
Mason Schwalbach (Southern Illinois University) played in 22 games for the Bees, hitting .392 with a .494 slugging percentage. He racked up 31 hits and 20 RBIs during that stretch, with eight multi-hit games, including three straight three-hit performances from June 28 to July 1. He ended his summer on a 14 game hitting streak.
Clarkson, Schulte and Schwalbach all represented the team in the All-Star Game in Springfield.
