Alton, IL - The Burlington Bees (3-4, 15-18) fell to the Alton River Dragons (4-3, 15-18) 14-3 at Lloyd Hopkins Field July 5.
The game ended in seven innings due to the run-rule.
The team fell 5-0 in the first, with the offense scoring two runs in the third.
Cole Yearsley (Winthrop) walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Mason Schwalbach (Southern Illinois) brought him home on an RBI single.
It was his 30th hit and 19th RBI of the year.
After a Keanu Spenser (Hawaii-Pacific) single, Kooper Schulte (Iowa) reached on an error that allowed another to score.
Yearsley would register an RBI single in the sixth inning.
Mason Behn (Charleston) received the loss. Morgan Jennings (Hawaii-Pacific) gave up no earned runs in one inning of work.
The teams face off again tomorrow at 5:35 p.m.
