Five Burlington Bees Named to 2025 Prospect League All Star Team
Springfield, Ill. - The Prospect League revealed today the 2025 All-Star Game rosters for the Eastern and Western Conference teams. 60 players, 30 from each conference, will head to Springfield on Tuesday, July 8th.
Each conference's roster was built with 18 position players and 12 pitchers. Two players at each infield position, six outfielders, and two additional selections rounded out the position players. The selections also included at least two players from all 18 League teams.
The 2025 Prospect League All-Star Game will be played at 6:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, July 8, at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois. Kooper Schulte (University of Iowa) has been named a Prospect League All-Star. As of June 30, the New London, Iowa native is batting .299 with 13 extra-base hits and 24 RBIs. He's tied for the league lead in triples, ranks second in extra-base-hits, and sits among the top ten in RBIs. Schulte earned the Prospect League Hitter of the Week award after hitting for the cycle on Opening Day.
Infielder Caleb Seibers has followed up an outstanding freshman year at Olney Central College with a Prospect League All-Star selection. The freshman slashed .328/.425/.503 this past spring. He led the Blue Knights in RBI, scored 39 runs and had 19 extra base hits in 54 games. As of June 30, Seibers, from Carmi, Illinois, is averaging .316 for the Bees. In 23 games he has scored 15 runs, has 15 RBI, with 4 home runs. He continues to put up impressive numbers, slugging .519, while reaching base at a .396 clip.
Braeden Sunken (Maryville University) has been named a Prospect League All-Star. As of June 30, the Lincoln, Nebraska native owns a 3.14 ERA in 11 appearances with a 2-1 record. Sunken has also recorded five saves, which ranks second in the Prospect League.
Mason Schwalbach (Southern Illinois University) has been named a Prospect League All-Star. As of June 30, Schwalbach is batting .383 with 6 extra-base hits and 15 RBI in 60 at bats. Schwalbach is one of five guys on the Bees 15 or more RBI.
Kaelen Clarkson (SUNY Plattsburgh) has been named a Prospect League All-Star. As of June 30, Kaelen has a 3.00 ERA in 15 innings pitched across four starts. The lefty has 12 strikeouts in 15 innings of work. His best start came on June 7, when he threw five innings of one run ball. The Ontario native has only walked three batters this seaso. In his collegiate career, Kaelen received First-Team All-Conference honors at Jefferson Community College before transferring to Plattsburgh State. Clarkson posted a 4.71 ERA over 42 innings this past spring for Plattsburgh.
The Prospect League will also hold a Home Run Derby at 7:30 p.m. CT on Monday, July 7th at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield. Kooper Schulte will represent the Bees in the Homerun Derby!
